July 11, 2010 - YoYo Camp 2010 is Over!

YoYo Camp 2010 is over. With 4 trips to over 2300 meters in just 23 days the winter weather, altitude, volume and intensity made this camp incredibly hard. Although I enjoyed the work and beautiful mountain scenery I am relieved to have it done and satisfied with three big weeks of 21, 22 and 23 hours... read more

June 26, 2010

Jasper is one my all-time favorite places to visit and train. Beautiful mountains, lakes and rivers and the great company of Peri, Dasha and Sarah Daitch made yo-yo #2 a great one. Rollerskiing, road riding and running were the activities on this 3 day camp and even when I was somewhat "losing it" after several hours of training at altitude I was always appreciative to be doing something that is a dream for many. Supported rides to Jasper with companies such as... read more

June 17, 2010 - Haig Glacier Update

Although the nearby Kananaskis Provincial Park Haig Glacier camps usually start about two weeks later than this, the National Ski team was chomping at the bit to do our yo-yo altitude camp. With 4 trips up to 2400meters and back down to Canmore at 1400 meters planned we charged up there to get skiing thanks to the use of snowshoes and despite well over a meter of snow in the backcountry where the camp is situated we did good training... read more

There is much good news to energize me as the 6-month block of training gets going once again. Mainly being healthy, injury free and having a coach. Although Cross Country Canada switching the coaches up has been the dizzying trend of the past 4 years, this time it's going to stick... I just know it. American two-time Olympian Justin Wadsworth, husband of Canadian legend Beckie Scott has taken on our team and I'm really looking forward to working with him for many years to come... read more

April 17, 2010 - Share the Road Fundraiser

My month off of training and racing is flying by. There have been Fast and Female events all over Canada thanks to our stylin' ambassadors who have been inspiring girls in Ottawa (Perianne Jones), Burn's Lake, BC (Rosanna Crawford), and Yellowknife, NWT (Sarah Daitch). Amazing events, amazingly inspiring leaders and participants! Thank you to all who have been sharing the love... read more

Race season is over... Fast and Female season is rocking!

Following the Olympics I headed to The Yukon for my first ever visit to the city of Whitehorse and the final races of my season:the Canadian Championships. I have never had anything but a good time at Nationals in my entire ski career and really enjoy meeting up with so many of the awesome people that make up the ski community and keep me going in this sport... read more

March 3, 2010

Towards the end of the Olympics my emotions were heightened by the incredible performance of Devon in the 50km, Sara Renner's retirement post 30km race, the fact that it was all almost over, and the lack of sleep from letting loose on the dancefloors of Whistler and Vancouver... read more

February 26, 2010

The racing is over for me. The relay was a tough 5km race for me but I was feeling so happy and energized to be out there going for it. My teammates Dasha Gaiazova, Perianne Jones and Madeleine Williams formed a special team because 7 years ago we were the World Junior Championship relay team in Sweden... read more

Go Canada Go!

My website is back up after the hurricane of hits shut 'er down last week. Thanks for all the interest, everyone!
Games highlights from our team have been pumped out by the men's team who've come so far since the the 2006 Olympics solitary top-30 result from George Grey. Alex and Devon pulled off an impressive 4th place in the team sprint with some stylin' gutsy racing. George, Ivan Babikov and Alex were all in the top 10 in the 30 km pursuit and today they were 7th in the relay. read more

LET THE GAMES BEGIN!!

Hello Sports Fans, Friends and Family.

It's here!

I had an amazing time walking in the opening ceremonies. To be around my fellow athletes from other sports is a real treat and the inspirational talk from Mark Tewksbury just before we left the village was really cool. read more

Mercifully, "So when you head over?" has replaced "Are you ready?" as the number one question I get asked around town these days.

Locked up my Olympic qualification today - phewf!

It's my third time racing in Dusseldorf and I have always had a good time here. In 2005 I scored my first ever world cup points here and in 2007 I was stoked to be 10th. I was counting on a good performance today... read more

Hey Canada,

The team is en route to Livigno, Italy for some sun, altitude training (1900m) and some of the only snow in Central Europe. They have a couple kilometer loop and our Italian friends reported it was snowing there last night. Brushing up on my Italian while chatting with... read more

Devon was fantastic today and skied the most relaxed I have ever seen him in my entire life. He was blazing around the 5km loop here today with splits that he was in the top 3 for the first two laps. Then he sped up even more to ratchet up into the lead ahead of Anders Sodegren, 10 time Swedish Champion and Olympic and World Champs medallist, besting him by 6 seconds at the end... read more

Today's classic sprint here in Bruksvallarna, Sweden was a real doozy. I qualified 20th and finished 25th. With the goal of getting a block of training done off of which to taper into December, I let my ambition off the leash and did a big week of hard work... read more
